This is a sulfated form of the trace mineral Vanadium. It has insulin like properties in that it activates glucose transport on a cellular level as well as muscular and liver enzymes that convert glucose into glycogen for storage. When the glycogen storage process is efficient, the body can rely on glycogen for energy instead of sacrificing muscle protein.
